A poem to cheer you up

LifeToday

Today I really have with me,
The morning sun is bright to see!
All plans for today, I must work well,
I must begin my day with a prayer that I always tell..
I pray that today, I am focused deeply on my goal,
I pray that I do well in every role.....
Life can be best lived, by living for Today
Plan for tomorrow, but live each day!
Today if I bring a smile and happiness along!
My life will join moments of smiles that will turn into melodious song..
If today my goal is to be happy,
The Today and Tomorrow,
Will hold no sorrow......
As I am determined to be happy come what may................
I will always carry thoughts that say,
Let there be troubles today, but I see life as a blessing!

Troubles over time have made me so tough and strong,
That a solution to problems comes easily,
As “I believe nothing can go wrong!!”
So live in Today with the fullest you can give!!!
As the beauty of life, is seen in every moment you live!!

GENOCIDE OF THE HOMELESS

GENOCIDE OF THE HOMELESS

By: somelikeithot1818

Page 1, GENOCIDE OF THE HOMELESS - by ignoring the needs of the homeless - we are - in effect - letting them die. Living on the street is contrary to every public health recommendation for every country on the face of this earth. The denial of food, clothing and shelter is a guarantee that the health of the homeless will deteriorate faster than the rest of the population. Unfortunately, many of the homeless have mental and other illnesses which make them unemployable and often impossible to live with. Ignoring the needs of humans is a guarantee of an earlier death - in this way the argument is made that our treatment of the homeless is DE FACTO - GENOCIDE.

When we think of GENOCIDE, we think of DARFUR

When we REMEMBER genocide, we remember ARMENIANS and JEWS

I walk down a street in Toronto...the homeless sit and beg

We drive down a street in Detroit and see a man sleeping on the ground

They said there were no homeless in suburbia...but come to our library

There is a man who lives in his tiny van and visits the library all day

Are there homeless in the country...???? maybe they went to the city

On a cold Toronto day, the sewer covers open from underneath

Two native men appear, their breaths freeze in the air

I saw all this with my own eyes, I did not make it up

In a cold country you can freeze to death at night

Would anybody CHOOSE this kind of life?

Darwinian thinking says only the strong survive

Yet these same "Christians" say THEY CHOSE THIS

Jesus came to help the poor, the needy and the sick

What would Jesus say about the HOMELESS who are often MENTALLY ILL?

Jesus cured the sick and drove the devils out.....

We do not imitate the Life Of Christ by IGNORING THE HOMELESS

We hope they will just go away....which they will

For how long would YOU LIVE withOUT FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER?

Not very long....we have concentrations camps hiding in plain sight

But they do not looks like Dachau or Auschwitz....they are the dark and nasty streets

Where the HOMELESS live....until they die and no STATISTICS are kept

So how many HOMELESS die every day on this earth?

The answer would make you sick.....

Hitler and Stalin were not as cunning as we are...

They said they were going to kill and they did what they said they would

We go about our business, day after day....the same homeless people

Linger, we step over them on the way......Are we GENOCIDAL

Is there a little HITLER in ALL of US....?

The RESEARCH demonstrates that this is true

If we are given the power over others

Notice how power corrupts

Notice how money makes friends

Notice Politicians who say the end justify the means

In a DEMOCRACY where they have been ELECTED by free peoples

We are so smug and say....we bring DEMOCRACY to others

If DEMOCRACY includes HOMELESSNESS....it sounds freaky to me

For only in GOD'S SWEET HEAVEN can all men really be free...

Blind hate

Blind hate An Essay

By: Casey Daniel Southards

Page 1, An essay about the hatred and intolerance in the World.

Listening and aware of the World around me, as I move down the side walk. I make my way into a small coffee-house, seeking a cup of morning tea. After receiving my brand I find a relaxing chair. As I sit, I think. What has this World allowed it's self for a standard. Men breeding hate and killing each other, and for what? My recurring conclusion, was for the lack of tolerance.

All to often I have found that people have a hatred for what they fear and/or do not understand. I have come to believe that most find it easier to take facts at face value. The lack of evaluation and research turn these facts all to often into falsehoods. These falsehoods all to often become understood as facts. In this lack of understanding lay the roots that breed racism, religious intolerance and cultural divide.

As I go about my daily responsibilities, I find myself within one social collection after another. As I gather the words floating around me from fellow humans. It always amazes me as to the lack of knowledge that is released. I hear comments such as; all those Muslims are terrorists or all black people are uneducated. This is the kind of close-minded rhetoric that leads to hatred. Intolerants is a condition that is taught in many countries by many cultures. The sad fact, is that it has deep roots.

In centuries past there were many divides created in the World. Many do to the difference in religion. Most do to the difference in culture and often due to skin color.

During the early modern period between the late fourteen hundreds to the early seventeen hundreds. A complete lack of understanding and tolerance by the church, lead to a mass witch-hunt. This resulted in captures that most often lead to painful torture and horrific executions. At times the inquisitors would come to a small town and leave it empty. The men, women and children all accused, all executed. The reality of these actions were that all the people that were murdered, were all Christians.

On March 23rd of 1933 a campaign was put into motion by the Nazi Party to put Adolf Hitler in a seat of power. On August 19th, 1934 they did. On September 1st 1939 the Nazi's began there War by invading Poland. This lead to millions of people being killed, due to there race, religion, and/or cultural status. It was believed that the Jewish, the disabled, the mentally ill, Freemasons, homosexuals, Jehovah witnesses, and Romani, (to name a few) were not worthy of life. So they were put to death in gas chambers, shot or made to work until they died of starvation and disease. All out of hatred. In the United States, we took the homes and possessions of all the Japanese-American citizens and locked them all in work camps due to fear. Fear leads to hate and hate leads to stupidity.

In the present day there is an on going battle between the religious and those of secularism. Secularists choose to live free of religious rules. They choose to make choices based on there own ambitions and desires. While the religious choose to live by a code or set of rules. The secularists wants to be free to choose, to make choices that they see fit for themselves. While on the other hand the religious work to condemn and enforce there way of life on everyone. This is an example of intolerance. Though the religious should not have to live the way of the secularist, the secularists should not be forced to live the way of the religious.

When all is said and done, I ask myself. Why do we find it easier to hate then to care for one another. Why do we feel that it is best to remove that which is strange or different from the face of the Earth. If we would only, if just for a few seconds, stop and view those differences from another set of eyes. We may just learn that together our differences may become the solution to the hatred and intolerance in the World.

--From the novel "Involuntary Witness"

Involuntary Witness

I am seriously hooked by this novel written by an Italian former judge. It is not only just a novel but also a book of wisdom.

What is Involuntary Witness? Basically, we are all 'Involuntary Witness' of something.

What is a 'belief' ? A 'belief' is something your brain think is true because it made you comfortable. It may not necessary be true.

What is 'reality' ? 'Reality' is something you believe it has truly happened. Like you owned a proton car. What food did you eaten today.

'Involuntary Witnessing' can happened when your brain turn a false 'belief' into a 'reality'.

Example :
A friend of you told you Paul is a jerk, Another friend told you Paul is a thief, another one told you Paul is a bad person. To make you comfortable, your brain create a 'belief' that Paul is no good person.

To sustain that 'belief', your brain will create 'reality' to support that 'belief'. Like : I think Paul that day came to my office and stole something. At the end, you will tell your friend : "That day Paul came to my office and steal my mobile phone !". Even if it never happened, you have became an "Involuntary Witness".

Fighting in KFC

The full story is here

To keep it simple, here is my version :

Jerk got voucher for KFC, due date on 7th Feb (he claimed he bought it for RM 137, but I believe that was bullshit), so he quickly go to KFC to claim the chicken. Waited half an hour (he claimed 1 hour), angry ( must be very hungry), scolded the workers with very rude words (sound like those people you met in the church, isn't it ?). KFC worker get angry, punch him.

The same thing has happened with me many years ago. Somebody want me to repair his computer, wait for a day, angry, started calling me, curse my mother and use very rude words. The only thing is I didn't punch him. They will be the perfect members of any church.

Last time I heard my church leader said " if you don't pay your church yearly membership fee, next time you die, you burn in hell ah". Somebody smash his car and break all the windows. I wish it was me.

What's wrong with the world today ? maybe life is too good and human turn into devil.

That's why Jesus said unless a person as humble as a small kid, he / she cannot go to heaven (Matthew 18:1-4). Unfortunately most Christians treat it as a joke.
